When carving – there is no time.
No clock, no curfew and no deadlines.
No demands, no oppression and no expectation

Just the warmth of the wood
and the gentle giggles of the babbling brook
as the wisps of cotton tickle the wind in jest

And the carver was very pleased with what he saw. Meanwhile on the mantel piece, Obtel (organ bereft, thalidimide enhanced lady) pined for the unconditional love of her creator like her unharmed cousins craved for the warmth of the sun at the end of an interminable winter. Ensconsed in the halcyon lap of sweet reverie, the carvee’s incarnal yearnings were realised. On a virginal white, rose petalled counterpane, Obtel lay in waiting. Exquisitely donned in a blue teddy, handmade from the finest of laces, Obtel arranged her biscuits in a manner in which her creator would find pleasing.
Time stood still as the ethereal being advanced towards her. The carver received the doughy gift as though it had been a divine falling from the heavens above. Obtel liked what she saw very much. Alas, had that secret pigtail constituent just become her undoing …………………………………..
