Hakia Scoop and Run
Posted by sandnsurf on September 2008
Hakia have introduced the ScoopBar to their toolkit. This service currently operates in the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsing environment but really enhances the semantic search engines interactivity, portability and accessibility.
The tool is simple to install either form the Hakia website or from Firefox addons
- Search from the toolbar by asking a question…
![]()
- Search Results are returned in the usual fashion – for your viewing pleasure
- Search ‘question’ is saved as drop down menu from search bar

- One of the great features of the ScoopBar is the way the ‘returned results’ have the associated semantic phrase or keywords – highlighted and hakia programme automatically locates the specific section in the text for rapid review
- If you click on the yellow Scoop image the relevant section of the Webpage is extracted and saved in a local HTML page

- New results ‘Scooped’ are loaded to the top of the page and an organised format for future use

- Looking good – and functional
- Now to asses the functionality of the health search features of the Hakia search…
